VCRA ANNOUNCES THE OFFICIAL HOST CITY / HOTEL FOR THE
2008 HEMMINGS CHALLENGE Vintage Car Rally..
ROGERS, ARKANSAS has been selected as the official host city for
the 2008 HEMMINGS CHALLENGE Vintage Car Rally. Located in
the heart of the Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas, it is at the
center of one of the most rapidly growing metropolitan areas in the
United States, boasting over 350,000 population in the multi city
complex. The Rogers Convention & Visitors Bureau has worked
tirelessly to assure that this will be a most enjoyable and pleasant
experience for all.
The EMBASSY SUITES HOTEL, SPA & CONVENTION CENTER
was chosen as the official rally headquarters hotel. Located just off I-
540 adjacent to the premiere shopping district of Pinnacle Hills
Promenade, museums, restaurants and boutique shops, it features
400 spacious, two room suites. Each suite has a private bedroom,
either one king bed or two double beds, separate living room with
sofa bed, wet bar, two telephones, high speed internet and two
televisions. A complimentary, full, cooked-to-order breakfast is
served each morning from 6AM till 9AM. A manager’s reception is
held each evening with hors d’oeuvres and your favorite beverages.
The staff has worked diligently to provide the additional amenities to
assure a smooth event. A full parking lot, with security and washing
facilities, adjacent to the hotel is designated for parking for race cars,
support vehicles and personal cars. The north end entrance of the
convention center will be the official start/finish gate each day. Just
inside the center is rally control as well as registration and the
meeting room/ awards banquet room.
